COVENANT AVIATION SECURITY, USA, INSTALLS SIMFOX X-RAY TRAINING SYSTEM
Covenant Aviation Security in the US has installed SIMFOX to enhance its testing and training for X-ray screeners. In October 2002, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) awarded a contract to Covenant Aviation Security to provide security screening services at San Francisco International Airport and at Tupelo Airport, MS. San Francisco International and Tupelo Airport are among five airports in the US participating in a pilot programme that allows private companies to provide baggage screening as specified in the Aviation and Transportation Security Act.
SIMFOX is an innovative approach to X-ray training and incorporates the most advanced image processing for instructor and trainee use. Its unique features cannot be seen in any competitive product available. Due to its specialised features SIMFOX presents employees with fresh items, during X-ray training sessions, which constantly challenge their interpretational skills whilst removing their ability to rely on memory to identify threat items. SIMFOX is unique in providing the only solutions to common problems normally associated with training in X-ray and threat recognition and in no way allows image recall from memory causing an improvement in threat identification and an apparent increase in students' competence, which are artificially generated. SIMFOX is the most unique product on the market in terms of threat image processing and lesson preparation. It allows the instructor to categorise threat items, bags and to alter decision-making parameters.
