Covenant Aviation Security in the U.S. has chosen to re-new its Simfox licence which it purchased in February 2004 for the purpose of enhancing its testing and training for X-ray screeners. In October 2002, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) awarded a contract to Covenant Aviation Security to provide security screening services at San Francisco International Airport and at Tupelo Airport, MS. San Francisco International and Tupelo Airport are among five airports in the US participating in a pilot programme that allows private companies to provide baggage screening as specified in the Aviation and Transportation Security Act. The new licence will be valid for another year and will allow Covenant to train its X-ray Screeners to the highest standard.
