Civil Aviation Administration for Lithuania purchased SIMFOX to train all operators at the airport in Vilnius.
In October 2007, Vilnius airport opened a new terminal for departures to destinations outside the EU and invested in further Heimann machines. The airport expects to be able to handle up to 3 million passengers per year, with the addition of this new terminal. In June 2007 it saw an increase of 12% on the same period in 2006.
The SIMFOX Heimann simulator will assist in the increased demand for training whilst not taking X-ray machines out of operation. Operators can complete training and testing sessions from an office location.
