QDX-4300

The new colour QDX-4300 fraud detector is an effective and efficient tool for the examination of all types of documents where fraud or criminal activity is suspected. The QDX-4300 is very user friendly with simple controls for rapid examination, and with a high resolution colour monitor for the easy investigation of document details. A 4X electronic zoom gives increased magnification and with six integral light sources, security safeguards may be checked and alterations and additions rapidly detected.

When used in front line situations such as in airports or on border crossings the QDX-4300 will prevent illegal immigration and stop inadmissible passengers who may be using fraudulent travel or identity documents. Modest capital cost means that the QDX-4300 can be extensively deployed to cover many entry and exit points.

Counterfeit identity documents of all types are often used to obtain social security benefits, or to open bank accounts for illegal transactions. With the QDX-4300 such documents may be easily and rapidly verified and the simplicity of operation requires minimum training for the user.

The QDX-4300 is a useful workhorse for private Questioned Document Examiners, for Police Laboratories and for Insurance Investigators in producing evidence for criminal and civil legal proceedings.

 

 

QDX-630BE

The QDX-630B utilises the latest CCD camera technology for the detailed examination of all types of suspect documents for alterations, obscurations and erasures.

Counterfeits and forgeries are readily revealed by using a variety of optical techniques to display differences in the infrared luminescent and absorption characteristics of inks and dyes.

A sophisticated PC based measurement and enhancement system is available as an accessory for the accurate gauging of documents and typefaces and for image investigation.

QDX-430

The QDX-430 is a very cost effective portable infra-red Questioned Document Examination System for the authentication of travel documents at border crossings, immigration control desks and in mobile police operations. Further uses are at scenes of crime, in banks, at check-in desks or in any situation where the authenticity of documents may be in doubt.

Using the non-destructive techniques of infra-red absorption and luminescence, the QDX-430 is a powerful tool for the detection of fraudulent documents of all kinds. With counterfeiting and forgery continuing to be a major criminal activity, the QDX-430 will prove invaluable to many regulatory authorities.

Available with an optional carrying case which allows complete portability and remote field operation, the QDX-430 may now be used in roadside operations when installed in vehicles using the mounting kit. The Oblique light source (OL-430) and Transmissive Light Source (LB-430) are now supplied as standard as shown in the illustration above.

 

 

The Reader PR7001 (7002)

DESCRIPTION: The PR7001 (7002) Reader serves as a reading device for Machine-Readable Documents (MRD) which are designed and printed in conformance with the applicable ICAO, ISO and/or AIT specifications. Reader PR7001 (7002) automatically reads and transmits relevant data contained within the Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) of Machine Readable Documents such as Machine Readable Passports, Visas or Identity Cards to a host computer system or simply indicate an assessment of the quality of the document based on specific rules and specifications.

The PR7001 (7002) Reader reads documents which conform to ICAO 9303 “A Passport with Machine Readable Capability” and ISO 7501 “Identification Cards - Machine Readable Passports.” The PR7001 (7002) may also be configured to read other two (2) line or three (3) line Machine Readable Documents which conform to AIT Document DT-00071 “Specification for Machine Readable Document Design.”

The PR7001 can capture the photo image from Machine Readable Passports. Optionally: This image can be stored or compared with the “live” image of the bearer of the document.

Checkpoint-D

The Checkpoint-D is a robust, cost effective instrument for the examination of all types of documents where speed and efficiency are the first priority.

It can be found in Airports and Seaports for the checking of travel documents, at Customs Posts for authenticating carnets and bills of lading and in Police Stations for a first examination of Questioned Documents.

The Checkpoint-D may be installed in a variety of locations where rapid and accurate verification is required. The small size allows easy fitting to Immigration and Customs Control Desks and it is unobstrusive in banking institutions where personal and financial documents need authenticating.

 

The Checkpoint-D contains all the necessary light sources to check most current document security safeguards and to highlight many modes of fraudulent alteration. Unique to the Checkpoint-D is an adjustable window that allows very easy examination of retroreflective features and at the same time affords eye protection against UV lamps.

IPS-7300

The IPS-7300 is a full colour video processor for the simultaneous display of live and stored images. Designed for Questioned Document Examination, functions such as overlay, addition, subtraction and side by side comparison enable easy comparison of genuine and suspect documents.

 


The Smart Mouse SM4007

The SM4007 video spectrum magnifier "Smart Mouse" is designed to bring affordable optical spectrum analysis to field document inspections and to offer a very fast screening capability to the forensic lab. The video output can either be connected to a video monitor or to a PC/laptop for enhanced processing and documentation capabilities.


The Smart Mouse includes optical filters and a range of light sources to aid in the investigation of the objects under the magnification of 30-80x in blue, green, yellow and red parts of visible range and in two parts of infrared range under different positions of light sources to the working surface and under the magnification of line dimensions up to 30x. It is now available with a solid-state UV light source as well!

 


The Video Scope

The Video Scope system is a software product that enables the user to input video images to a computer
and then, process, compare and file the images. The program consists of six main parts:

PD-350 - New Product

LIGHT SOURCES

Ultraviolet:
Long wave (365nm) Ultraviolet compact 9 watt lamp housed in a stainless steel reflector housing provides intense UV illumination over the working area.

Incident Visible:
Two arrays of four 1.3 watt tungsten filament lamps provide an even illumination of the working area for the examination of documents when the
PD-350 is used in poor ambient lighting


Transmission:
An array of nine 1.3 watt tungsten filament lamps for the examination of transmissive security features. A diffusing window ensures very even illumination.

Oblique:
An array of three 1.3 watt tungsten filament lamps mounted at the rear of the working area produce low level glancing illumination for the examination of indented writing and erasures.

PD-350
Retroreflective:
A 5 watt dichroic reflector lamp which together with a special front window allows the visualisation of retroreflective security features such as the 3M confirm ™ laminate.

Lamp Switching:
All the lamps are separately controlled by push button switches, each with an indicator. To save battery power an energy saving circuit will switch off any lamp that is on after approximately nine minutes of inactivity. The power on indicator then switches from green to red to show that the PD-350 is in the energy saving mode.

Mobile Lab

The Mobile Lab is designed for the effective operative control and checking of the authenticity of documents, banknotes and securities under field conditions.

Lab enables the user to assess the presence/absence of:

  • Protection elements of documents, banknotes and securities (technological, printing and other types of protection)
  • Fluorescent UV-properties of the materials of the document under investigation
  • Magnetic properties of the materials
  • Signs of partial or full counterfeiting of documents, banknotes and securities.

 

With the help of televisual spectrum magnifier Smart Mouse - which is included in the mobile lab kit, the user has the possibility of investigating objects with a magnification up to 15x in the blue, green, yellow and red parts of the visual range, IR range, the effect of IR luminescence in reflected and passing light in different positions of lighting according to the working surface.

It is possible to connect to a video monitor, video recorder or PC. The magnification when connected to an external monitor or PC is up to 80x.
