SIMFOX addresses the need to provide X-ray operators with necessary skills and experience to operate an X-ray machine both safely and effectively. The programme assists to maintain competency levels and the motivation of experienced X-ray operators.

SIMFOX deals effectively with the following requirements:

1. A unique algorithm allows virtual and independent placement of items into bags. Due to this specialised feature, allows the Instructor to present employees with a constant stream of new bags that challenge their interpretational skills whilst removing their ability to rely on memory to identify threat items.

2. SIMFOX lessons are constructed in a manner that allows them to be sent within seconds, in a totally secure manner, via the Internet to students in multiple locations. Results are returned in the same manner and stored in the main system.

3. To facilitate the wide variety of establishments requiring a training solution for X-ray, SIMFOX is supplied as either a single user package, an Internet based package or a full multi-user classroom based LAN or WAN package.

4. SIMFOX is equipped with a Training & Operational Research Module for data acquisition & analysis, which provides valuable data on operators' capabilities, including X-ray interpretation skills, bag processing time, group categorization and group performances. In addition, it assists in establishing performance standards and norms for groups, bags, threat items and the overall operation.

5. As well as storing the results of lessons and courses, SIMFOX stores the image of every single bag presented to students.

6. SIMFOX is the most flexible product on the market in terms of threat image processing and lesson preparation. It allows the Instructor to categorise items, bags, and to alter decision-making parameters.
